Business - Marketing Major

ONTARIO COLLEGE DIPLOMA

The study of marketing involves understanding why people buy the goods and services they choose, and how customers can be better understood and served. Marketing involves applying knowledge of these needs and wants to provide the products and services at times and places that meet customer needs. Every industry needs marketers, so your training in this field can tie in with your past experience, personal interests, desire to start a business and so much more.

The Diploma is equivalent to Sheridan’s two-year Ontario College Diploma in Business Marketing. Graduates with this diploma may also apply for entry into the third year of the Marketing program full-time at Sheridan. Get the benefit of in-depth marketing knowledge and a broad business education covering the basics of accounting, business communications, computers and more.

Note: Sheridan programs are regularly reviewed and updated in response to the changing business environment. This results in courses being added and dropped from programs, including courses students may have already taken. In such cases, our policy is to evaluate program completion against the program as it presently stands, and as it was when the student began. However, students who have completed courses which are no longer part of the program must finish their diploma within two years, or the new requirements will supersede those courses and only the new will be acceptable.

Students who have taken:

BUSM22779The International Environment

must complete their diploma before September, 2012 to use this course.

If unsure about your status in light of these changes, email your coordinator for clarification. (see below for contact information.)
