Creating Web Pages HTML and XHTML Authoring Introduction
An introduction to the most advanced markup language for creating Web pages, XHTML (eXtensible HyperText Markup Language). XHTML superseded HTML 4.0 in January 2000 and offers the widespread acceptance of HTML with the new extensibility and the new audience of XML (eXtensible Markup Language). It is backward compatible with older Web browsers and future compatible with newer user agents such as cell phones and personal data assistance (PDAs). This course is ideal for newcomers to Web development that wish to jump start their learning by focusing on the newest Web page markup language, or for existing Web developers that would like to learn about the improvements that XHTML offers over HTML. The focus will be on using XHTML to create Web pages. No previous knowledge is assumed.
