ANIM78011 ANIM78011 - Making Faces - Animating Human Faces

Focus on creating and animating faces of human characters which are realistic, believable and compelling. Topics include facial anatomy, animating and rigging a human face, psychology of facial expression and more. This workshop is being conducted by Chris Landreth. Chris has created two Computer Graphics - animated short films, 'the end' and 'Bingo'. Both films explored storytelling based on human psychology as photorealistic character animation, he calls this approach "psychorealism". Chris continued this approach in his animated documentary 'Ryan' which went on to receive over 60 international awards, including an Academy Award in 2005. Chris's latest short film, 'The Spine' continues to show how CG animation can be used for powerful and complex storytelling. For more detailed course information click here
