Examine introductory concepts of AIS and the role information systems can play in adding value to an organization and systems that manage data to support business decisions. Group work and interactive exercises include diagramming data flows, investigating circumstances giving rise to information system threats and considering internal controls to counter them. Explore the wide range of considerations involved in systems development and use a popular relational database management system. Note: a minimum "B" grade in INFO31787 qualifies for exemption for CGA's MS1 course.
